About Molt & Moss
A one-person Neocaridina breeding operation in California. Four tanks on a rack, two colour lines, and a habit of writing everything down.
What we do differently
Most shrimp listings are a stock photo, a colour name and a price. You can't tell Grade A from Grade C until the box arrives, and you can't acclimate properly because nobody publishes their parameters.
So we publish both:
- The grade standard, written out, with a photo of several shrimp from that grade rather than the single best one.
- The water they were bred in. Exact GH, KH, TDS, pH and temperature, on the listing and printed on a card in the box.
- An honest live arrival policy that says what it covers and what it doesn't.
Culls
Every line throws shrimp that don't meet the colour standard. We sell them honestly as mixed grade at a lower price instead of quietly promoting them. They breed just as well; they're simply not the grade above.
