You do not need to be an expert to make the library better. A clear question, a carefully bounded observation and a source that changes a claim are different contributions. Choose the path that matches what you actually have.
Useful disagreement is welcome. A correction, null result or contrary observation is not disloyalty. It will not change an order, live-arrival claim, access to public guides or moderation of unrelated participation.
I have a question the library does not route
Ask one anonymous keeper question for private editorial review. A moderator may publish a de-identified teaching answer and link the governing guide or evidence gap.
A question can improve teaching or open a research need. It is not evidence by popularity.
A guide did not answer my question
Find the detailed guide, then use its anonymous clarity check. Say whether it gave you a next action and what kind of explanation remains missing.
No email, public post, testimonial or evidence claim.
I recorded something in one tank
Use one current protocol for a feeding response, fixed-view juvenile count or exuvia sighting. Preserve the unit, method, outcome, missing data and relationship disclosure.
Manual review can publish only a de-identified moderator summary. It remains an observation.
I found a source or a claim that may be wrong
Identify the exact public sentence, stable source, what its methods or results show, proposed bounded wording and any relevant relationship.
Every substantive review receives a finite outcome, including no change.

Our commitments
- Review the record and source, not the contributor's purchases, follower count, credentials or agreement with us.
- Keep email, unreviewed free text and private review notes out of public pages and feeds.
- Never require public credit. Name a contributor only after explicit permission.
- Preserve zero, unchanged, contrary and no-change outcomes instead of rewarding only successful stories.
- Never pay, discount or grant store credit for a favorable observation or review outcome.
- Record a reason for moderation and substantive evidence decisions.
- Apply the same claim boundary to our products, house practice and commercial interests.

Our conflict is visible: Molt & Moss publishes this resource and intends to sell shrimp and supplies. A seller is not an independent certifier of its own products. Commercial benefit cannot substitute for a source, measured outcome, outside replication or independent adoption.
What we ask from contributors
Helping someone in a public discussion? Use the bounded community reply standard to keep scope, support, limitation, action, source and disclosure together.
- Submit your own record or material you have permission to share.
- Separate what you directly observed from what you think explains it.
- Disclose relevant seller, breeder, author, employer, affiliate, paid or gifted-product relationships. Write none when there is none.
- Do not omit a zero, loss, contrary outcome or known confounder to make a cleaner story.
- Do not include addresses, phone numbers, account details or another person's private information.
- Do not deliberately expose or harm animals to create a community submission.
- Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate, dox or recruit others to target a contributor or reviewer.
- Do not use these forms for emergency care, advertising copy, treatment dosing or an unapproved experiment.
Moderation, questions and withdrawal
Spam, threats, impersonation, private information, copyright abuse, undisclosed advertising and content outside the selected protocol may be removed or marked not usable. Criticism, disagreement, commercial relationships and unexpected results are not removal reasons by themselves. A disclosed relationship changes interpretation, not whether the person may contribute.
Keep a private receipt. To question a decision, correct contact information or ask for withdrawal, email hello@moltandmoss.com with the receipt. Review is manual and no response time is guaranteed.
There is no contributor leaderboard, expert badge or volume reward. The goal is a more inspectable hobby record, not a contest for certainty.
Not emergency care. Do not wait for moderation or a reply when livestock face an active oxygen, temperature, nitrogen or chemical-exposure event. Use the health-triage guide and appropriate local professional help.
