What every lab-grown listing will print
- Sold as
- The plant's name as the producer sells it. A tissue culture label does not prove identity.
- Producer and method
- Named on the listing, in the producer's own words.
- What the cup does not certify
- Sold by the producer as tissue culture, not shipped from an aquarium. That reduces several wet hitchhiker routes. It does not certify identity, freedom from every organism, egg or chemical input, or readiness to plant without removing the gel and inspecting.
- Before planting
- Remove the gel and inspect the plant. That is our house practice, not a safety test.

Tank-grown moss and plants

Moss and plants from aquarium systems are wet transfers: water, biofilm and small organisms can travel with them. Each listing will name the growth system and any treatment history we know of.
