Knowledge gap refined August 11, 2026

Cadmium tolerance in bacteria is not demonstrated shrimp tolerance

The evidence library is allowed to change in public. This page preserves the revised boundary, why it moved and which guides were affected.

What changed

The screening queue now includes a 2024 membrane-bound trehalase paper and identifies which tolerance, transcript and apoptosis outcomes belong to bacteria, shrimp tissue or an unverified whole-animal claim.

Why it changed

The accessible sources describe cadmium-responsive shrimp gill expression, injected gene knockdown, transcriptomics and apoptosis staining, but the reported survival and growth under cadmium came from recombinant Escherichia coli. Complete shrimp exposure units, controls, denominators and whole-animal outcomes remain unavailable, so the paper stays full text needed.

Affected practical guides

A public change is not automatically a retraction. A source may be added, a scope narrowed, a gap refined or an error corrected. The current guide and registry record own the current wording.
